The auction for granting the right to lease agricultural lands in the state public ownership brought almost 3.2 million lei to the state budget, Logos Press reported.

The state’s agricultural lands went “under the hammer”

The auction, organized by the Public Property Agency, took place on September 18 this year. According to the APP press release, the lease of lots is granted for five years. As a result of the open auction, the lease right was granted for 7 lots for a total amount of almost 3.2 million lei.

The agricultural plots are located in different districts of the republic outside the city limits. The most expensive lot was the right to lease a plot of 255.7 hectares in Edinet district, Brătuseni commune. Its auction value amounted to 1.76 million lei.

It should be mentioned that before the auction, the Auction Commission, in accordance with point 10 of the Regulation on auctions and downward bidding (approved by the Government Decision No. 136/2009), decided to withdraw from the auction lot No. 19 Land plot for building, 0.78 ha, in Chisinau mun. Chisinau, located on Ion Pruncul street”.

The winners of the auction, within 20 days from the date of signing the protocol on the results of the public auction, shall pay to the state budget the rent in advance for at least one year.
