
Exports of Ukrainian cheese, according to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, during January-August 2025 increased by 25.3% year-on-year to 9.4 thousand tons.
In monetary terms, exports in January-August amounted to $42.8m, which is 32.1% higher than in the first eight months of 2024.
The largest buyers of Ukrainian cheese in January-August 2025 were Moldova (34.4%), Kazakhstan (30.2%), as well as Germany (9%).
Moldova has traditionally been a recent leader among buyers of Ukrainian cheese and butter.
At the same time, as reports UkrAgroConsult, in January-August 2025 Ukraine itself imported 26 thousand tons of cheese, which is 14% more than in the same period last year. In monetary terms, cheese imports for eight months increased by 22.4% compared to the same period of 2024 – to $164.8m.
Cheese to Ukraine was mainly imported from Poland (44.8%), Germany (14.4%), and the Netherlands (8.1%).
