The fifth edition of the program “School of Modern Finance”, implemented with the support of the National Bank of Romania and in partnership with the Bucharest Academy of Economics, is dedicated to the sectoral specialization of Moldovan students, who will spend a week-long internship in Romania.

While until now the project was dedicated exclusively to the students of the Academy of Economics, this year the program is extended to master students of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences of the Moldovan State University, as well as economic journalists.

“The National Bank is helping to train professionals capable of covering the financial sector responsibly and will generally contribute to strengthening economic journalism. This approach will ensure greater transparency, credibility and clarity in explaining economic realities,” said Anca Dragu, head of the NBM.

The participants, selected on a competitive basis, will undergo a comprehensive program in Romania, combining lectures by experts and academics, practical training with financial and banking specialists and thematic visits to specialized institutions.

Upon completion of the program, the journalists will receive certificates signed by the heads of the central banks of both countries and the rectors of the respective sectoral universities. After such selection and training, the National Bank hopes for qualified coverage of topics and promotion of financial education in the society.
