Poland will give more permits

Moldova and Poland have agreed to increase by about 65% the quotas of permits for road transport with third countries. This was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, noting that this important result for Moldovan operators was achieved following a meeting of the joint Moldovan-Polish committee on international road transport, which was held in Warsaw on July 21-23 after a 17-year break.

Other topics discussed included trade development, use of permits from previous years, modernization and digitalization of the permit system, sharing of best practices and technical assistance for the implementation of Public Service Obligations (PSOs).

The meeting ended with the signing of an official protocol on cooperation, which provides for the organization of annual meetings of the joint committee, the next of which is scheduled to take place in Chisinau. The document also provides for an increase in the number of permits for 2025-2026, strengthening inter-institutional technical cooperation in the process of harmonization of national legislation with European standards.
