CEC starts accepting lists of candidates for deputies

The National Political Council of the ruling PAS party approved the list of candidates for the elections and on the first day of admission, the party was the first to submit documents to the CEC.

PAS Chairman Igor Grosu described his team as “the generation of European integration” and emphasized that after September 28 there are two paths: integration into the EU either “in quick or very quick steps”. Almost one third of the PAS list consists of current MPs.

The submission of documents will last until August 19. The CEC has formed a Drawing Committee to determine the order in which the documents will be accepted. If two or more candidates submit documents on the same day, a draw will take place at 17:00 of the same day to determine the order of inclusion of electoral competitors on the ballot.

Earlier, the CEC published a list of 39 political parties eligible to participate in the elections, based on data from the Public Services Agency. On Saturday, July 19, the commission refused to register the electoral bloc “Victorie – Victory”, created by four parties: “Renastere”, “Force for Alternative and Salvation of Moldova”, “Șansa” and “Victorie”. In addition, with regard to the “Șansa” party, the CEC sent a request to the Ministry of Justice to liquidate it.

Also, the CEC set a limit of 75.9 million lei for the funds that can be transferred and credited to the “Electoral Fund” account to be used by electoral participants in the parliamentary elections on September 28, 2025. The amount of interest-free credit for electoral contestants was also determined: 50 thousand lei for parties and blocs and 10 thousand lei for independent candidates.
