Moreno had to cancel his participation in the fight in Kiev (Ukraine), where he was supposed to arrive via Chisinau. The Moldovan Border Police did not give the reason for this decision.

The boxer became a contender for the WBC Youth world title in the first middleweight division after he won his eighth victory in the professional ring in February this year in a fight against another Colombian boxer – Segundo Herrera. The new holder of the championship belt was to be determined in the title fight between Moreno and Moldovan boxer Vasiliy Chebotari.

As a result, Ukrainian boxer Nazri Rahimov, who replaced Alexander Moreno in the championship fight, fell to fight for the title. Earlier LP reported that Vasiliy Chebotari was recognized as WBC Youth World Champion in the first middleweight division by unanimous decision of judges.
