Moldova joins the world of Steinway & Sons

The opening concert featured a concert by Polina Osetinskaya, who performs on leading international stages, and Martina Meola, a promising talent of the new generation of pianists. Polina Osetinskaya is known for her profound interpretations and impeccable technique, has become a prominent figure on the international piano scene, and captivates audiences with her rare combination of artistic sensitivity and expressive power.

Our fellow countrywoman Martina Meola was admitted to the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan at the age of nine. At the end of 2024, her talent was recognized by the prestigious Steinway & Sons brand, and Martina was invited to give a recital at the company’s Milan office.

The purchase of the instrument, together with all related expenses, cost four million lei. It was made possible thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture and the ALT Fund for the Development and Support of Social Initiatives.
