“The direct losses amount to billions of hryvnias. We haven’t calculated the exact figure yet, but we can already say that these are the largest losses in our entire history,” said Vladislav Chechetkin, co-founder of Rozetka.
The strike on logistics facilities occurred during a large-scale attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region. According to Reuters, the damaged facilities included warehouses and logistics centers belonging to major Ukrainian companies, including Rozetka.
As a result of the attack on the company’s facilities in the Kyiv region, one employee was killed and seven others were injured. The company reported serious damage to its warehouse infrastructure.
For Rozetka, its warehouse network is a key element of its business: the company operates as both an online store and a marketplace, combining its own sales with a platform for third-party sellers. The damage to logistics facilities affected the infrastructure for storage and order fulfillment.
Following the attack, the company’s management called on the government to expand support for businesses affected by the hostilities. Among the proposals are affordable insurance against war risks, tax and credit incentives, and simplified rules for the use of private air defense systems.
This is not the first time Rozetka’s infrastructure has been damaged by shelling. In March 2024, a missile strike on Kyiv also damaged the company’s warehouse: the building, vehicles, and goods were damaged, but the 99 employees on shift at the time were unharmed.
