The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) has published new maximum prices for gasoline and diesel fuel, which will take effect on July 29.
The maximum price for AI-95 gasoline will be 30 lei and 62 bani (8 bani more than today) per liter, and for diesel fuel—31.89 lei (89 bani more) per liter.
On July 28, the government approved a package of measures to stabilize the fuel market amid a state of heightened readiness in the energy sector.
The authorities will temporarily change the formula for calculating the price of diesel fuel, increase the retail markup by 37 bani per liter, and introduce measures to simplify imports and restrict exports.
Yesterday, Sergei Diaconu, director of the Crisis Management Center, reported that Moldova has only seven days’ worth of diesel fuel remaining.
