In this regard, the State Tax Service (GNS) urges taxpayers to actively participate in discussions with tax officials. As the agency emphasizes, they are ready to answer all questions regarding the application of tax legislation, changes made to it this year, filing deadlines and procedures, as well as other tax-related issues.
The State Tax Service’s press office reports that tax officials assisted 14,774 taxpayers during 439 visits to communities across the country conducted during the first half of 2026. The training is being conducted as part of an advisory campaign called “Taxpayer Day.”
Since the launch of this initiative, approximately 6,000 visits have been made to local administrations. During these visits, tax officials served approximately 99,000 taxpayers.
Consultations between agency staff and taxpayers during their visits to communities across the country were initiated by the State Tax Service in 2023. The first series took place from April through June 2023. The goal of the initiative, collectively known as “Taxpayer Day,” is to serve and provide assistance to anyone who requests it.
