This was announced by Parliament Speaker and PAS leader Igor Grosu.

According to Grosu, the party leadership spent several hours discussing with Tofan his vision for the future government’s work and his action plan.

“We spent several hours discussing Mr. Tofan’s vision and action plan with him. I am glad that we share the same main goals and values—joining the European Union in the coming years, cleaning up state institutions, economic growth, and implementing the important reforms that have been launched during this period,” Grosu said.

After consulting with parliamentary factions, President Maia Sandu must decide on a candidate for the position of prime minister. If officially appointed, the candidate will present the composition of the new government and its program, after which the cabinet must receive a vote of confidence from Parliament.
