This project will be realized together with Myande Group, which is a leading Chinese supplier of starch production equipment. The investment will amount to €35 million. It will be financed by equity and loans from a local banking syndicate in Serbia.
The new plant will be the most modern enterprise in this field in the Balkans. It will process 250,000 tons of corn per year, producing natural starch, modified starch and corn syrup for the Central and Southern European markets. With this investment, Trans-Oil Group will expand its processing capacity to capitalize on the potential of this growing market, as corn starch is in demand in the food, pharmaceutical and other industries.
Construction will begin on May 15, 2025 and will be completed by the end of 2026/beginning of 2027. The new facility is expected to create 150 jobs.
