On May 1 of this year, an important amendment concerning individual citizens investing in government securities came into force. The amendment refers to the subscription period for government securities. It is established that it opens at 00:00 on the first day of the announced period and closes at 15:00 on the closing day.
It should be reminded that the subscription period for each session of GS purchase is set by the Ministry of Finance in the message on their floatation. In this context, the Regulation on the placement, sale and redemption of state securities intended for individuals in the Republic of Moldova was amended. They were approved by an order of the Ministry of Finance and published on May 1.
In particular, item 58 of the regulation was adjusted, which previously stipulated that the subscription period for each session of SS placement is up to 10 calendar days.
Accordingly, now it opens at 00:00 on the first day of the announced period and closes at 15:00 on the day of its closing.
It is emphasized that outside this interval, the electronic platform eVMS.md will not allow the transfer of orders for the purchase of government bonds by retail investors.
