As noted in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ statement, the candidates were assessed in accordance with the criteria and requirements set out in the national selection procedure, as well as the provisions of Resolution CM/Res(2013)28 of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on the procedure for electing members of GRETA.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that, based on the results of the assessment, none of the candidates met the necessary conditions to be nominated as the Republic of Moldova’s candidate in the GRETA elections.

Consequently, our country will not put forward a candidate in the current election process for the election of GRETA members.

As reported by Logos Press, Tatiana Lungu, Tatiana Fomina and Natasa Danelciuc-Colodrovschi were shortlisted for interviews to select candidates for the position of member of the GRETA Expert Group.

At present, Tatiana Katana is the representative (expert) of the Republic of Moldova to GRETA. Her four-year term expires on 31 December 2026.
