
The meeting was held from May 6 to 8 in Leipzig under the auspices of Azerbaijan’s IFT chairmanship and brought together ministers, government representatives, international experts and industry leaders from the Forum’s member countries.
The delegation of the Republic of Moldova was represented by the State Secretary for Road Infrastructure of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Nicolai Myndra, and representatives of the National Road Transport Agency.
This year’s summit was held under the motto “Financing Sustainable Transport”, and the agenda of discussions focused on the solutions needed to develop transport systems capable of withstanding economic, climatic and geopolitical challenges.
Participants also discussed the modernization of regional infrastructure, simplification of border procedures, the transition to environmentally friendly transport and the use of artificial intelligence in transport.
The International Transport Forum (ITF) is an OECD intergovernmental organization specializing in transport policy. Established in 2006 by transport ministers from 43 countries as a global platform for transport policy, the International Transport Federation (ITF) has since grown into an organization with 69 member states from five continents.
