Wine Vernissage

Guests were able to get to know and taste more than 500 still and sparkling wines, including 30 novelties prepared by 65 wineries. Wine lovers enjoyed white, rosé and sparkling wines, including organic wines and wines from local varieties: Feteasca Albă, Feteasca Regală and Feteasca Neagră rosé, reflecting the “terroir” and diversity of Moldovan winemaking.

“The number of participants of the 25th edition confirms the role of the event as one of the most important platforms for promoting the culture of quality wine in the Republic of Moldova. In 25 years, the Vernissage has grown together with the wine sector and its audience: from a platform for presentations and tastings, it has become a landmark event for wine culture, where new products are presented, autochthonous varieties and seasonal trends are promoted, and at the same time the connection between winemakers and consumers is strengthened. This edition is both a moment of gratitude to the producers who build the reputation of Moldovan wine and to the audience that supports, appreciates and responsibly consumes quality wine,” said Stefan Yamandi, Director of the National Bureau of Vine and Wine (NBV&V).

New products and awards

This year’s novelty, the self-service tasting area, was an important factor in attracting wine lovers, who could choose from 36 wines produced from Feteasca Albă and Feteasca Regală grape varieties.

The program of the event also included a unique fashion show, where handmade dresses created by a local designer were perfectly matched to the exquisite wines specially selected for the summer season.

The traditional awards presented during the opening of the wine season were awarded based on the results of the participants’ voting.

Cricova winery received two awards: the “Vernisaj în Alb” award was given to the wine “1952 Sauvignon Fumé”, 2025, and the “Vernisaj în Rosé” award to the organic wine “Wild Fetească Neagră Rosé”, 2025.

The “Vernisaj Effervescent” prize was awarded to CVC Mileștii Mici for its sparkling wine “Cuvée des Fleurs Riesling de Rhin”.

During the 25th opening of the wine season, the title “Knight of Wine” was awarded to Igor Gros, President of the Moldovan Parliament, in recognition of his contribution to promoting and supporting the image of Moldovan wine.

At the wine vernissage, visitors had the opportunity to purchase the wines presented at the event in a specially equipped wine store, where bottles could be personalized with a jubilee wax seal.
