Fines will be imposed for excessive noise in retail outlets

Excessive noise in commercial and catering facilities will be authorized by the authorities. The National Agency for Public Health will have the right to detect and investigate such offenses.

These provisions contain draft amendments to the Code of Offenses. It has been prepared by the Ministry of Justice in order to eliminate gaps in the regulation of controlling activities and improve their effectiveness. Public consultations are announced until June 23.

The document indicates the government’s intention to expand the powers of controlling bodies, update sanctions and clarify the norms concerning violations of business norms in tax, customs, banking and other spheres.

The National Agency of Public Health will be able to issue prescriptions to economic agents, demand noise measurements, draw up protocols and apply sanctions in case of their evasion of requirements.

For exceeding noise and vibration standards, a fine from 30 to 60 cu.u. for individuals and 120-240 cu.u. for legal entities is proposed. – for legal entities.

The Code of Offenses of RM will also establish a fine for failure to comply with the instructions of regulatory authorities. For individuals it may be from 80 u.c. to 160 u.c., and for legal entities – from 200 u.c. to 400 u.c..

There is also a possibility of deprivation of the entrepreneur’s right to carry out certain activities from six months to a year.
