City officials emphasize that the “Development of Urban Infrastructure in Chisinau” project, under which the work is being carried out, is proceeding according to plan. In this context, a contract was signed for the provision of engineering supervision services for the progress of the work.

Following an international tender conducted in accordance with EBRD procedures, Eptisa România was selected to provide support and supervision services for the works over a 48-month period across all three lots included in the project.

The total value of the contract is 74.3 million euros, equivalent to approximately 1.5 billion lei. The project is financed through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The contracted services include engineering work, monitoring of costs, deadlines, and work quality, verification of compliance with standards, and reporting to the financing organizations.

A contract for the work on Section 1, which involves the widening of Mircea cel Bătrân Boulevard, is expected to be signed shortly. Regarding Section 2, which involves the repair of Industrială Street, the city hall reports that a procurement procedure is underway.

The project aims to develop road infrastructure and improve transportation accessibility in the municipality of Chișinău.
