The APS report notes that the “Zarea” Hotel, which has the status of a state-owned enterprise, has become an attractive property for potential investors; it is strategically located in the center of the capital and offers various development scenarios.

The property is being offered for sale on the condition that the “special infrastructure” in this area be protected. The starting price is 106,000,000 lei.

The state-owned publishing house “Stiința,” with a starting price of 6,300,000 lei, and the state-owned publishing and printing enterprise “Lumina,” with a starting price of 530,000 lei, are specialized institutions with extensive experience in the publishing and printing sectors.

By offering these assets for privatization, the state aims to make effective use of the public heritage, attract private investment, and create conditions for the further development of the assets, while complying with the conditions established to protect the public interest, according to the APS statement.

Bids will be accepted until August 19, 2026, and the auction will take place on August 20, 2026.
