Aliyev Addressed Conference Participants
In a statement by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the participants, as quoted by Caliber.az, it is noted that this international forum, held regularly since 2022, takes on special significance against the backdrop of current complex geopolitical processes.
The head of state, in particular, noted that Baku is pursuing a consistent and resolute policy aimed at establishing and maintaining lasting peace and stability in the region. Thus, the signing last year in Washington of a joint statement by the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, mediated by U.S. President Donald Trump, as well as the initialing of a peace agreement, have completely transformed the situation in the South Caucasus.
Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan, which advocates for the establishment of a just world order and the provision of safe living conditions for humanity, is working to transform not only the region but all of Eurasia into a reliable space for cooperation.
The President noted that this important international conference demonstrates that, to maintain a healthy atmosphere of cooperation and solidarity both between states and within society, political parties, by prioritizing constructive dialogue, responsible behavior, and joint activities based on national interests, contribute to the further strengthening of mutual trust.
