The Interreg NEXT “Black Sea Basin” Program is an important tool for cross-border cooperation among the states of the Black Sea region.
Projects related to areas such as energy efficiency, urban development, social integration, healthcare, regional governance, and public policy management are eligible for funding under the program.
However, beneficiaries must provide 20% co-financing for the activities included in the projects.
The program is being implemented in 27 EU member states, as well as in Norway, Switzerland, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Ukraine.
In addition, discussions began in Chisinau on the priorities, structure, and areas of cooperation within the framework of the future Interreg “Black Sea Basin” Program for 2028–2034.
In the Interreg NEXT “Black Sea Basin” Program 2021–2027, 23 beneficiaries from Moldova are implementing projects totaling approximately €5.7 million.
