According to the draft amendments to some governmental decisions (on tariffs for works and services rendered on a paid basis by the Justice Ministry and administrative bodies subordinated to it), the cost of confirming and certifying legal documents extracted from the State Register of Legal Acts will increase from 27 to 30 lei per document.
It is also proposed to increase the tariff for access to the Register of inheritance deeds and wills in the form of monthly subscription – from 120 to 200 lei. At the beginning of 2026, 276 notaries were connected to the registry. According to the authors of the project, the annual income from subscription at the current tariff is 397,440 lei, while at the proposed tariff – 662,400 lei. That is, the annual income will almost double.
The document notes that the increase in tariffs is aimed at adjusting them to the current economic conditions and ensuring the coverage of the costs of administration and development of digital registers.
It is also stipulated that the additional income will allow covering the costs of maintaining the systems without attracting funds from the state budget.
