
In December 2025, the extent to which net demand for foreign exchange from business entities covered net supply from individuals was 92.1 percent, compared with 89.9 percent in November 2025.
In nominal terms, the net supply of foreign exchange from natural persons increased by EUR 90.3 million (+41.3%) versus November, while the net demand from companies increased by EUR 92.3 million (+38.0%).
During the reporting month, the National Bank of Moldova did not interfere in the local foreign exchange market. The exchange rate of Moldovan leu against euro fluctuated on average from 19.7041 EUR/MDL in November to 19.7993 EUR/MDL in December.
