In its press release, the Energy Ministry recalled that by a previous decision, the Council set a 20-day deadline for Lukoil-Moldova to return to the situation before 2005 and transfer the infrastructure of the oil complex to the state.
However, on January 14, the state authorities received the refusal of Lukoil-Moldova Ltd. to sign the Act of transfer-receipt of goods related to the oil complex at the airport, citing the failure to meet the requirements of the sole shareholder, Lukoil International GmbH.
“Given that the deadline has been exceeded and the previous decision has not been respected, we will gradually apply the measures provided for in Law 174/2021 on investments of importance for state security. In the first stage, for non-compliance with the decisions of the council for the review of investments of importance for state security, Lukoil must pay a fine and comply with the previous decision within 5 days,” the Energy Ministry said in a press release.
At the same time, the ministry notes that the Chisinau International Airport continues to provide quality services to passengers and ensures ground handling of ships, including uninterrupted fuel supply.
