According to acting CEO Diana Tacu, the company has reduced its financial deficit from over LE 300 million in 2022 to LE 45 million in the first 9 months of 2025.
“The evolution is evident. The financial results have improved significantly, which makes the enterprise viable and allows it to attract credit resources,” said Tacu at the presentation of the report before municipal councilors.
For the first nine months of 2025, total receipts amounted to LE 709 million and disbursements amounted to LE 746.3 million, including LE 290.9 million for salaries and LE 30.6 million for loans. At the same time, the financial deficit decreased to MDL 50 million, which is about 5% of the annual budget.
The company manages 4082 km of water supply and 3231 km of sewerage networks, serving 147 thousand consumption points. An important initiative was the installation of smart meters at legal entities – their efficiency in reading has already been confirmed, and the program is planned to be extended to the private sector and apartment buildings.
One of the key problems remains the deterioration of internal networks. Despite this, Diana Taku recommends “daring to drink water from the tap”.
“Every consumer should understand that all networks should be serviced on time, which is what we do with external networks. But unfortunately, managing houses and associations do not practice this, although it would be desirable for everyone. But I can responsibly say that you can safely drink water from the tap, which I have been doing for more than four years”, – said the Acting General Director.
For 2026, the enterprise submitted to the municipal budget a request for capital investments worth 70 million lei, which are planned to be used for the reconstruction and modernization of the networks.
The average salary of employees in 2025 exceeded 18 thousand lei.
