
According to the draft law on the state social insurance budget for 2026, approved by the government at a meeting on December 4, the fixed amount in 2026 will rise to 22,878 lei, 11.5% more than in 2025 (20,518 lei). This amount, but not less than 1/12 of the respective amounts monthly, will have to be paid by categories of citizens who can be insured on the basis of an individual contract with the National Social Insurance Fund.
The same contribution must be paid by founders of individual enterprises, including founders of peasant (farming) farms; individuals engaged in independent activity in retail trade, except for trade in excisable goods; individuals engaged in activity in the procurement of crop and/or horticultural products and/or plant life objects; holders of entrepreneurial patents, except for pensioners, persons with disabilities; employers in the field of taxi transport services
For physical persons who own or lease agricultural land and cultivate it, the fixed annual contribution to the budget of the NCCS will increase by 11.5% and will amount to 5827 lei, but not less than 1/12 of the respective amounts monthly (in 2025 they paid 5226 lei).
At the same time, the contribution for free professionals engaged in the justice sector (except for pensioners, persons with disabilities and persons classified in other categories of payers) will increase from 27,772 to 30,966 lei (+11.5%).
