The most active fans in sector 8 of the Zimbru stadium in the capital lit firecrackers and smoke bombs when the players took to the pitch, after the opening of the score in the eighth minute and at the end of the match. This caused damage to the natural grass surface of the stadium. The artificial turf adjacent to the stadium was also partially damaged.
During the match fans repeatedly chanted insulting slogans against FMF and Sheriff club. FMF representatives recorded 12 such episodes. They also threw paper on the pitch, which delayed the start of the match by a minute and a half.
Having studied the materials, the Disciplinary Commission of the FMF decided to impose a fine of 35 thousand lei on the Zimbru club, which became the largest fine in the current season of the Super League. The club’s fans were warned that in case of a repetition of such incidents, they risk being banned from attending away and/or home matches of the Bisons.
Three other Superleague clubs – Petrocub, CSF Bălți and Dacia-Buiucani – were fined 2,000 lei for giving their players four warnings during a match. For receiving two yellow cards by Milsami player Veaceslav Posmac in the match of the 12th round against Dacia-Buiucani (3:2) and the direct suspension of Nigerian international Christopher Nwaeze for depriving the opponent of a clear scoring opportunity in the rescheduled match of the 4th round against Petrocub (1:1), the Orhei club was fined 800 lei, and both players will miss one round of the championship.
The Politehnica-UTM team was fined 5,000 lei, as Alexandru Mardari was sent off for a direct penalty during the match of the 13th round against CSF Bălți (2:3). In the 87th minute, the player hit his head on the opponent’s face. The player is banned from participating in the next two Super League matches.
