
The government made this decision at a meeting on July 30. The total value of the projects exceeds 2 billion lei. The financing comes from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development, local authorities’ contributions, as well as the Ministry of Culture’s allocations for tourism projects.
In total, under the program, the following will be built, repaired or reconstructed:
– 39.48 km of roads of district/municipal importance;
– 388.55 km of local roads;
– 128.60 km of access roads and pedestrian plazas to public institutions.
In addition, the list of projects is complemented by five regional development initiatives aimed at increasing the tourist attractiveness of various sites.
The implementation of these projects will contribute to the sustainable development of more than 600 communities across the country, improve the quality of life of more than 1.1 million citizens, and enhance accessibility and connectivity of more than 2,700 public institutions.
A total of 1,477 local development projects and 156 regional development projects are included in the updated Unified Program Document for 2025-2027.
