The equivalence obtained confirms that domestic seed provides the same guarantees regarding seed characteristics, seed identification and control, and field inspection rules as those applicable to seed produced in the EU.
Specifically, all additional inspections for beet, sunflower, rape and soybean seeds from Moldova have been canceled. According to the decision adopted today, seeds of these species will be able to enter the EU market.
This measure will allow Moldovan producers to diversify the assortment of seeds for export. At the same time, it will contribute to supplying the European market with high-quality seeds of Moldovan origin.
