Romanian AIPROM opens a branch in Moldova

At the beginning of 2025, AIPROM was registered in Moldova and is about to implement a number of projects.

These include rapid financing of agricultural businesses (together with Mikrokapital); promotion of the use of personal protective equipment, especially indoors; and direct consultations with authorities, distributors and farmers to identify priorities and needs of the local sector.

It is also planned to launch a pilot project for the collection and recycling of packaging from crop protection products. For this purpose, the SCAPA program will be adapted, which in Romania has reached a collection rate of 88.38% in 2024.

Note that SCAPA is a program for the collection and recycling of waste plastic, metal and paper packaging of plant protection products imported or produced in Romania, implemented at the national level under the slogan “SCAPA de ambalage”.

AIPROM was founded in 2002 and today unites companies involved in the development and sale of plant protection products, controlling more than 85% of the Romanian market.

The association is a member of CropLife Europe and promotes the responsible use of plant protection products in line with human health and environmental protection.
