This was announced during Moldova Electronics Forum, held on May 13-14 in Chisinau. The company is already preparing two cars for the new project, equipped with equipment of its own production. The streetcar line is supposed to be launched from the central railway station to Vatra.
LP reported about the plant in Truseni, where the company will produce trolleybuses, a month ago. The project will cover the entire production cycle – from the design and development of the vehicle to its final assembly.
These two ambitious projects are promised to be implemented in the near future. They are intended to return Moldova’s interest in high-tech production, for which the country was once famous. The second day of Moldova Electronics Forum, including a robotics exhibition, a job fair and a hackathon, was dedicated to young engineers and programmers working at the intersection of electronics and information technology.
As Vitalie Esanu, head of the Association of the Electronic Industry Enterprises of Moldova (ACEM) and the company Informbusiness, told Logos Press, at the moment the specialists are busy with procedural problems related to the launch of the plant in Truseni. The environmental issues alone took three months. It took even longer to deal with the problem of changing the designation of the land on which the plant is being built.
