The 48 kW panels were installed with the support of the European Village program and are equipped with smart bidirectional meters that can measure electricity consumption and production on an hourly basis. In this way, Pervomaysk City Hall will be able to apply differentiated tariffs in the future, consuming renewable energy during the day and supplying surplus to the grid, and benefiting from reduced electricity rates at night.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Energy, at the same time, the reduction of costs for pumping drinking water will allow the local specialized enterprise to apply for a reduced tariff for drinking water supplied to residents of Pervomaysk and Konstantinovka villages.
Photovoltaic parks, which will provide electricity to three artesian wells, are currently operating in test mode and will be put into operation in a few weeks.
