Trans-Oil Group issued a press release on April 22 stating that on April 20, at approximately 7:00 p.m., there was an incident involving one of the vessels at the Danube Grain Terminal, located at the Trans-Oil Group’s port terminal in SMUD.

During maneuvering operations, the vessel M/V MUSE, chartered by a third-party shipper, snagged and damaged the terminal’s loading bridge infrastructure. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries among the vessel’s crew and port personnel.

As a result of the incident, the Danube Grain Terminal has been temporarily taken out of operation. The extent of the damage currently prevents the terminal from functioning normally.

“The management of Trans-Oil Group is actively working in cooperation with port authorities and relevant specialists to assess the situation, eliminate the consequences of the incident and restore full operation of the terminal as quickly and safely as possible,” the press release said.
