“Unnecessary” assets generate income

Two auctions of state assets, held on March 13 and 18, 2025, brought almost 5.7 million lei to the treasury.

“Unnecessary” assets generate income

As a result of the public auction held by the Public Property Agency on March 13, 4 buildings with adjacent plots were sold for almost 2.8 million lei. They are located in Floresti, Leova and Falesti districts. The total value of the sold objects during the auction increased 1.5 times against the initial prices.

At the auction held on March 18, the right to lease agricultural plots located outside the boundaries of settlements in Edinet, Cahul and Ungheni districts was offered. The lease is granted for five years. The area of the plots varied from 10 hectares to 284.8 hectares. In total, the amount raised from the auction amounted to over 2.8 million lei.

It should be noted that the Auction Commission decided to withdraw from the auction a 185.4-hectare agricultural plot in Chisinau mun. Chisinau, 426, Munchesti str.

According to the rules, the winner of the auction for the lease right is obliged to pay the rent for at least one year in advance to the state budget within 20 days from the date of signing the protocol on the results of the public auction. Only after that, within the next 7 days, a lease agreement is concluded between the Public Property Agency and the lessee.
