Lawmakers will hold two sessions this week—today and on Thursday. These will be the final plenary sessions of the current spring session.
The agenda for the plenary sessions includes a number of bills, including 15 regulatory acts aimed at harmonizing national legislation with European Union standards.
At today’s plenary session, lawmakers will consider, among other things, a bill to modernize the personnel management system in central public administration bodies, the “Restart in Education” reform, bills concerning the Republic of Moldova’s accession to international legal instruments, the ratification of a number of agreements and conventions, as well as amendments to the legal framework in the areas of road infrastructure, culture, and the protection of hunting resources.
Parliament’s rules of procedure stipulate that the legislature holds two regular sessions per year. The spring session begins in February and may not continue beyond the end of July. The fall session begins in September and may not continue beyond the end of December.
