
Although the man chose the green control lane, which implies the absence of declared goods, the luggage check confirmed the opposite. Thus, among the personal belongings, 90 vials of medicinal substance were found, which were not declared to the customs authorities.
The goods belonged to a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 25 years old. The approximate value of the medicines is about 5,000 euros.
The medicines were seized and are subject to special confiscation and the person risks being sanctioned in accordance with the provisions of Articles 43¹, 287 paragraph (10) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Customs reminds that medicines for personal use can be imported or exported from the Republic of Moldova only in quantities necessary for the period of travel or stay in the country of destination.
It is mandatory to have a prescription or other documents issued by medical institutions, indicating the name of the drug, the method and duration of use.
