Another package of grants for small businesses

A total of 28.9 million lei was granted to 68 local enterprises, which will allow attracting additional investments in the economy worth more than 45 million lei, Logos Press reported.

Another package of grants for small businesses

The support is provided under the programs of the Government and the World Bank. The support is expected to add at least 447 new jobs to the 555 openings of the beneficiaries.

The funds are provided under several programs managed by the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA) together with the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization. These are the “Start for Youth”, “Women in Business”, “Greening of SMEs”, “Internationalization of Business” programs, among others. Recipients are provided with financial and counseling support, as well as training and educational resources to develop entrepreneurial potential.

In addition, ODA administers business support programs through lucrative financing through Facem Investitii BGK, FACEM Impact products and the government’s “373” program. These tools can be combined with the Local Supplier Development Program, which offers free advice and assistance with individualized plans.

Out of the total amount of the next batch of grants, about 18 million lei was allocated to 57 companies by the government, while another 11 enterprises received 10.9 million lei within the Program for Increasing Competitiveness of Local Producers and Integration into Value Chains, co-financed by the World Bank.

In total, since the beginning of this year, 693 enterprises have received grants through the ODA amounting to LE 291.6 million. This assistance has attracted additional investments in the national economy amounting to over Le564.5 million. Of the total number of beneficiaries, 446 companies received funding from the state budget, 156 received EU support within the project “EU for SMEs”, and 84 companies received assistance under the program financed by the government and the World Bank Group.

In addition, 7 companies received support under the program “EU4Moldova: Local Communities”, financed by the EU, as well as by the governments of Germany, Austria and Poland.
