According to the Customs Service of Moldova, this confirms the continuous efforts to modernize and harmonize with EU standards. From November 1, 2025, Moldova will be able to become a party to the Convention by submitting an instrument of accession to the General Secretariat of the EU Council.
“This invitation represents a recognition at the European level of the Customs Service transformation process. It demonstrates that we can build a modern European Customs Service focused on trade facilitation. This is a benefit for all economic agents of the country,” said Alexandru Iacub, director of the Customs Service of RM.
By joining the Convention on the Facilitation of Formalities in Trade in Goods, Moldova will contribute to faster, more transparent and competitive trade, strengthening its position on the economic map of Europe.
