SE Ranking, founded by entrepreneurs from Belarus, has acquired Planable, a Moldovan startup with a turnover of 22 million lei (€1.1 million).

Belarusians bought a Moldovan startup

SE Ranking is owned by Belarusian entrepreneurs Valery Kurilov and Vic Kuushinau, with headquarters in the US state of Delaware, a legal entity in London and offices in Romania, Ukraine and Poland. Moldavian Planable had several owners – Ksenia Muntean, Nikolai Gudumak and Vlad Kalush.

So far, the companies have not provided details on the value or structure of the deal.

Since its launch, startup Planable has attracted investments from TechStars ($120k), Fribourg Capital (90,500 Romanian lei in 2016 for a 10% stake in the Romanian subsidiary), Angular Ventures and GapMinder.

In 2024, Planable’s Moldovan unit reported total sales revenue of 22.1 million lei, triple the year before. The startup’s net profit in 2024 was MDL 0.6 million, down from MDL 1.9 million in 2023. The average number of employees in 2024 is 23.
