As noted in the press release of the Ministry, a total of 159 projects were selected for implementation under the program at the first stage. A total of 355 applications were submitted at this stage. But the Ministry of Culture announced that only the evaluation of projects has been completed. This will be followed by sorting them by importance, clarifying budgets and analyzing funding opportunities. Only then will the ministry announce which projects have been selected for funding and the amounts allocated for each of them.

Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan noted the large number of cultural initiatives from rural localities, which shows the attractiveness of the “Access to Culture” program for the promotion and preservation of cultural traditions and identity.

We shall remind you that the program has a budget of 50 million lei for this year. It is aimed at stimulating citizens’ cultural initiatives, especially in rural areas of the country.
