These restrictions are related to the transition to a new information system designed to process civil status records. The acceptance of applications will be suspended from August 1 through August 31, 2026.
The temporary suspension applies to the following services:
birth registration;
marriage registration;
divorce registration;
registration of a death;
issuance of duplicates and extracts from civil status records.
The Embassy emphasized that the measures introduced are temporary and necessary for the successful implementation of the new information system.
The acceptance of applications in these areas will resume once the transition to the new system is complete.
