AIPA and the Agribusiness Sector: Addressing Mistakes and Building Trust

Reducing bureaucracy, promoting integrity, and strengthening cooperation between the private sector and government agencies were discussed today at a meeting at the Agency for Agricultural Interventions and Payments (AIPA). The event was organized as part of the “STIC – Building Trust Between IMM and the Public Sector in the Republic of Moldova” project. The project is supported by the Swiss government.

During the discussion, agency representatives outlined their main areas of activity, the procedures for processing applications for financial support, and the measures being taken to ensure a transparent and effective grant award process, as noted in the AIPA statement.

A key topic of the meeting was non-compliance with regulations identified during the submission and review of grant applications. The parties analyzed the most common shortcomings and errors, as well as their causes and ways to address them.

They also discussed the process of accrediting AIPA in accordance with EU standards—a crucial step for the absorption of support funds for EU accession candidates.
