Serhiy Kotelnik will become the new director-general of the state-owned Moldovan Railways. This was announced to journalists by Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Vladimir Bolia.
Moldova decided to remind about the “Solidarity Lines” and to offer investors to invest in this European initiative. The first Moldova-Benelux business forum is scheduled for next week. At the forum, the Moldovan authorities intend to invite investors from Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine, presenting Moldova as a “strategic partner” for this purpose.
The catering area of the Chisinau International Airport can generate 200 million lei per year, and it is foolish to give this money to outsiders. Such a message was voiced during the first press conference of the airport management, dedicated to the commercial fate of the facility.
Polish airline LOT Airlines is discussing the possibility of launching cargo and charter passenger flights to/from Marculeşti Airport. It is also considering the possibility of opening an operating base at Chisinau airport. This is related to the company’s intentions to increase the flight destinations and frequency of flights from Moldova to Polish cities for convenient connections for Moldovan transit passengers.
