The World Kickboxing Federation (WKF) canceled the European Championships in Chisinau after delegations from Russia and Belarus consisting of more than one hundred athletes were banned from entering the territory of the Republic of Moldova. The athletes were supposed to perform under the flags and anthems of their countries, but the Ministry of Education and Research issued a statement about the impossibility of holding the championship two days before its start.

This Sunday, April 13, the European Senior Weightlifting Championships will start in Arena Chișinău, which will last 9 days. For the first time in its history, Moldova will host a tournament of such a high level in this sport. More than 300 athletes from 40 countries will take part in the championship.
