He said it is important for both the security services and the country’s residents. The Ministry of Justice will be the coordinator, and the Ministry of Defense will be involved in developing the content of future regulations.
Kucinskis, cited by Bb.lv, said that it is important to maintain the current approach in education – to prevent a return to distance learning by ensuring that it can be used in emergency situations, such as the threat of drones.
He emphasized that Ukraine’s experience has shown the long-term negative impact of such an approach on children.
The initiative to introduce a mechanism to compensate residents for damage caused by drone incidents was put forward by the Union of Greens and Peasants (SZK). The Union of Greens and Farmers proposed to amend the law “On Emergency and Exceptional Situation” to provide for a compensation mechanism both during the emergency or exceptional situation and in cases when such a regime is not formally declared, but the threat is comparable to such a situation.
The political force believes that such amendments will ensure a fair balance between the public interest and the protection of private property rights, as well as strengthen confidence in state institutions.
