The favorable price dynamics was due to a decrease in international Platts quotations for oil products, which was facilitated by the prospects of a possible settlement of the conflict between the United States of America and Iran, as well as the reduction of risks associated with sea transit through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil transportation routes.

Thus, compared to the maximum values recorded after the outbreak of hostilities in the Middle East, the price of standard diesel fuel decreased by 7.74 lei/liter, or by about 22%, while the price of COR 95 gasoline decreased by 2.25 lei/liter, or by about 7.2%.

Under these conditions, for the period from 06.06.2026 to 08.06.2026, ANRE set the following maximum retail prices for the main standard petroleum products:

  • 29.15 lei/liter – for COR 95 gasoline (- 28 bani);
  • 27.24 lei/liter – for standard diesel fuel (- 16 bani).

ANRE assures that it continues to monitor the situation and developments on international oil exchanges and assures consumers that the current mechanism is as transparent as possible, guaranteeing maximum fairness in the formation of prices for oil products on the domestic market.
