Parliament has approved amendments to the state budget for 2025 in the first reading. The amended parameters envisage an increase in expenditures and budget deficit, as well as additional funds for salaries, social payments and compensations to citizens for energy resources, Logos Press reported.
Between May 2024 and January 2025, about 265 tons of hazardous chemicals, including highly toxic polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), were safely removed from ten storage facilities on both banks of the Dniester River and delivered to a certified toxic waste incineration facility in Germany, Logos Press reported.
