
Moldova joins Agroecology Coalition
This component is also important in the context of Moldova’s European path, as it allows adopting the approaches in the field of environmental protection adopted at the European Union level, the MAIA Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry said in a press release.
Membership in the Agroecology Coalition also provides access to donor projects for the protection and improvement of soil fertility, diversification of farming systems and development of sustainable land use patterns.
According to the public information of the Agroecology Coalition, the total number of its member-states has increased to 52 since Moldova joined the organization. Structurally, the coalition includes thematic working groups dealing with agroecological public policy, communication, financing, research and project implementation.
