Grants under the AGGRI program are now available to vegetable and berry producers

Specifically, AGGRI grants cover the entire vegetable production sector, production of a wide range of berries, essential oilseed crops and their processing.

Also, as noted in the announcement of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry MAIA, the AGGRI program continues to support investments in livestock (cattle and small ruminants) for milk and meat production, as well as in pig and poultry production – to strengthen biosecurity measures. Investments in poultry farm equipment for laying hens are also eligible for the next round of grant support.

AGGRI funds can be used for the construction and modernization of livestock farms, as well as for the purchase of breeding stock. In particular, improving energy efficiency of farms, including the introduction of renewable energy production technologies (biogas plants and photovoltaic panels) is considered a priority.

Moldovan agricultural producers (except for Chisinau and Balti municipalities) can submit applications for grant financing under the AGGRI program to the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture AIPA until May 29, 2026. The maximum grant amount can be up to $1 million (but not more than 50% of the investment in the business project). For the niche crops sector the amount of financial support cannot exceed $70 thousand per beneficiary, for cooperatives the limit is $300 thousand.
