The triumphant of the last season of the Super League was the club “Milsami”, which after 10 years won the Moldovan soccer championship. The club from Orhei after the first stage was only on the fifth position in the standings. However, the actions taken by the coaching staff, headed by Igor Picuszczak, allowed the team to transform by the second, spring stage of the championship. And bypass the main competitor – Sheriff Tiraspol – at the finish of the tournament.
The finalists were determined by the results of the return matches of the 1/2 finals of the Cup of Moldova “Sheriff” (Tiraspol) – “Zimbru” (Chisinau) and “Milsami” (Orhei) – “Spartanii-Sportul” (Selemet village, Cimislia district).

Moldovan athletes won one silver and five bronze medals at the European Olympic Wrestling Championships held in Bratislava (Slovakia). Freestyle wrestlers failed to reach the podium, losing in the bouts for bronze medals.
This Sunday, April 13, the European Senior Weightlifting Championships will start in Arena Chișinău, which will last 9 days. For the first time in its history, Moldova will host a tournament of such a high level in this sport. More than 300 athletes from 40 countries will take part in the championship.
The activities of the National Anti-Doping Agency (ANAD) are not much covered by the media. According to ANAD Director General Artyom Jucov, this is logical, as an impressive share of information possessed by the Agency is confidential and does not provide for its public disclosure.
